Hey guys!
This years World Show was our third attended and was the best yet! The numbers were up from the previous two years and I’ve never seen such miniature horse quality concentrated in one place. There were a few controversies, but there always seems to be a few of those at any show.
The competition was incredible and I saw a few horses that went supreme all year long receive the gate at this AMHA World Show. What an honor it was just to qualify for and have the opportunity to participate. We thought it would be years, if ever, before we would come home with a World Championship award but came home with two this year along with a Reserve Championship, top fives, and top tens. All three of our contenders came home with honor, even the ones with spots, and we couldn’t be more proud or grateful. Definitely the highest of highs!
Conder’s Miss Ocala “Miss O”…2 x AMHA World Champion…Special Thanks to Chris O'Cull, Duane, Emily Conder, and Chandler Marks
CCMF Legacy’s Legend “Legend”…AMHA Reserve World Champion and Top Ten…Special thanks to Kriss Calao of Viadera Training Center
Lost Spoke’s Winter Dream Catcher “Catch”…AMHA World Top Five…Special Thanks to Amanda Jones of Just Won Training Center
It was also an incredible treat to watch a couple Celebration Tennessee Tyme “Tymer” offspring Traveler and Trooper and Tymer half brothers “Celebration’s Tennessee Talent”, “Celebration’s Tennessee Tribute” along with their offspring strutting their stuff and taking top placings in the driving classes. This makes us incredible anxious with the arrivals of his first foals for us next spring that are bred to many of our best app mares.
Celebration’s Tennesee Tyme “Tymer”…Tymer Partnership with Sunbreaks Ranch
Our lowest began on Thursday when we received a call that one of our best yearling app fillies got her hind legs caught in the fence and the outcome didn’t sound good. Upon arriving home on Sunday we verified the severity of the injury and she was put down the following day. Definitely the lowest of lows and my husband Tommy and I are both physically and emotionally spent.
Anyway, the AMHA World Show was incredible and we are already hoping to qualify and attend again next year. Another high point of the show was the opportunity to see “Prince” in person over with Lee, putting names to faces of the AMHA office staff, rebonding with old and meeting many new friends, and the opportunity of seeing first hand where our miniature horse breed is headed. Special thanks to everyone that worked so hard to put on the AMHA Show and to everyone that brought their gorgeous horses to compete at the AMHA World. You had us in awe the entire time!
