    Looking to add...

Thnaks very much for the invite............I am just outside of Stouffville, so not far, and the invite goes both ways. Remember if you feed the integrit i pellets they have to be soaked, or at least add water before feeding, unlike the FF chunks and the "old pellet" formula, they have way more...

    Looking to add...

I will add my 2 cents worth because Ilive relatively close to you....... I feed the Purina grain, the integrit-i pellet ( fat and fibre pellet) is great. I woud feed the roughage chunk, either Purina or Masterfeed, depending on your feed mill. As far as the alfalfa chunk, I am pretty sure that...

    If you DON"T show

I don't show but I do clip most of my herd... it just makes them happier, once the heat arrives. There are a couple that shed out well on their own, so I just leave them to the brushes. I use A5 clippers.

What to feed a breeding stallion?

I agree with the 'plumpness' factor after the winter. Mine is already sarting to slim down as he starts pacing the fences, with the smell of spring ( fool!!!). As for feeding I feed Purina products... Equilizer and Integri - t ( fat and fibre like product) as well as beet pulp and ground flax...

What to feed a breeding stallion?

I just have 1 stallion, but I find if they come out of the winter in good weight they do well of rbreeding season. I don't change feed just up the amounts if I see the need. This method worked for me with big horses for years.

    Mare/constipation??

I so agree with being proactive. A couple more things to do is to add electoylites to her grain and a little oil to her feed.

    Banamine after foaling

I came from a big horse world, and it was not 'protocol' to give banamine. ( although I would give tit to all mares now)..but the minis are so different in so many ways. I always give them banamine, again the injectable orally. I get a bottle from my vet, to keep on hand for emergencies......if...
