Well, after 3 years of waiting, it finally happened. I ground drove him last year, when he was 2. Then I finally got a harness, and started ground driving him again last week. I also pulled the cart behind him (with him in the shafts), tied a rope onto the shafts and put them over the saddle...

My vet charges approximately $45 for the basic shots. I can give those myself, MUCH cheaper (we have 9 head of horses here). I then have him out to do the Rabies (in PA, vets are the only ones that can administer them, and you need a certificate proving they had it at most of the shows)...

If you do a search for dog agility, there are a lot of great sites on building PVC jumps. They don't look that complicated, but I haven't tried making any. When I was doing the searching, I had a JRT that I had planned on doing Agility with. She was killed, so we never got that far. :-(

What halter would be appropriate for jumping and obstacle? I plan on using a cable halter for halter, but thought a Quarter Horse style would be better for the jumping and obstacle. What does everyone else use?

That's the same thing I use. Works great, too. I also want to point out that, when it has a lot of puss under the scabs, you may need to call the vet and put the horse on some antibiotics for a bit. And make sure that any grooming items (or anything else that touches the horse) are only used...
