    Wanting to breed AMHR mare

Hello, I want to breed my AMHR mare to a stallion that is an AMHR/ASPC cross. I was just reading one thread about the mini/shetland cross, and I was wondering if this was possible. I see many AMHR/APSC horses at the shows, but I was wondering if the AMHR/ASPC stallions breed to mares that are...

    Driving teeny's

Dancer is 30" tall and I have been driving her for 2 years now, and I will probably drive her in the shows this year. I use a Jerald cart that can be converted into a roadster cart, but I never have converted it into roadster. She has never struggled with it, but she used to struggle with our...

    Are the shows shrinking?

I think the shows are shrinking. I live in NY, and we too haven't had many AMHA shows in a while. However, we used to have alot of shows at the Chemung Cty fair grounds, and they used to be an AMHR show the first day and an AMHA show the next. The past few years, the number of shows at the...

    When do you clip?

Hi, Here in NY I don't clip my minis until May because it's usually still snowing until the end of March! Sometimes when it's cooler during the day(like 50º), I will still keep the blanket on, but in early May I almost always keep the blankets on at night. I don't know how helpful this was...

Ideas for fixing the measuring problem

Those are good suggestions! I can't really think of any, but something should be done to prevent cheating. At shows here in NY, I ALWAYS see people stretching their horses out and pushing on their backs to make them "shrink." I figure that probably goes on everywhere.

Where Did We, as Breeders, Go Wrong? Or, Did We?

I totally agree with you. I've noticed a lot around here, at the R shows, that the larger horse will always win. And then sometimes I will wonder if the objective has changed some what too. Because most of the "B" minis around here are AMHR/ASPC. And I've noticed less and less "A"'s each year.

Thanks to everyone that replied! I was so thrilled to see so many responses on here! I still just can't decide on silver or gold. There were so many mixed opinions. -Jessica-

Would you get silver or gold hardware on show halter/harness

This is Wind Dancer: you can see her face good here, most pics I have of her are to the side What do you think; silver or gold?

Would you get silver or gold hardware on show halter/harness

I'm looking into getting a new show halter and possibly a show harness. I am totally stumped on whether to get my horse silver or gold hardware. For the show halter, I'm getting a turquoise metallic noseband. My horse is a strawberry roan but she has a bald face, so I am confused as to whether...

Anyone try this Platform mini feed?

I've been feeding the Platform feed for almost a year now. I've never had a problem with it, and I've seen better results with this feed than the other one's that we've fed in the past.

Hello, My Oster A5 clippers ar shot after just 3 years of use. Everyone has told me Double K Clippers are the thing to get; that they last long and clip very nicely. I'm going to buy them this spring but I haven't seen blades for them any where! What blades do you use on Double K's? Thanks...

    Considering Breeding My Mare

Thanks everyone for your helpful advice! And thank you for all the compliments for the mare in my avatar. She is not Dakota, the mare in my avatar is Wind Dancer... i appreciate all the compliments very much as I have worked so hard to condition her. I have another question. How expensive is...
