Ahh, okay. Thanks!The breeching is to hold the cart back when you are stopping or doing hills. It is sort of like passive brakes, so the cart does not run forward possibly hitting the rump. The breeching attaches to the shafts of the cart, one one each side, with straps called "holdback straps". There are usually little loops on the shafts that the holdbacks run through. I believe they are called "footman's loops".
Breeching is not usually used in the showring but If you are doing anything other than driving on completely flat terrain it is a good idea to have it.
