Western NC Miniature Horse Club meeting

We are proud to announce the first official meeting of the Western NC Miniature Horse Club set for June 24 at 3:30 at Silver Belle Farms, Marion NC. This is a newly formed group of mini horse lovers who want to get together and share information, share ideas and have fun with their minis. We will be affliated with AMHR and plan to sponsor clinics and informational sessions to help with mini questions. The meeting is open to all in our area that wish to attend. Bring a chair and meet at the barn. We are not limited to only registered horses.

Are you all going to be having shows

We will be holding a fun show in spring 2013. It will be open to all minis 38 and under. We plan on spend the next few months raising funding and getting some show/halter/driving/clipping/ basic clinics in place for people who have never shown before. There seems to be a big gap in the system for folks who want to show but don't want to compete against professionals for points and just want to show and have fun with their minis. We hope to provide a place for those folks to come and share information, learn a few things and basically have a great time with their horses in a less highs stakes competitive venue. Depending on how our funding goes, the future may provide an opportunity for some sanctioned shows, but probably not in 2013. There are so few opportunities for folks to have a place to show and have fun with other mini people in our area, we hope to provide at least one more.
