Awww, poor little one. I wish I knew and could help you with understanding, but often we don't get that luxury.

All you can do is try your best again as long as she recovers fully, which it sounds like she will.

I am so sorry, this is my first year breeding and my first girl who was due in Jan lost her baby just over the 7 mth mark as well.

I was devistated and wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Hugs and good thoughts going your way... I too wonder why but my vet said about the same thing sometimes you never know the whys.

I am glad to hear the mare sounds like she's doing well
