- Looking for information on what size of tubing does your vet use for oiling for colic, scoping, etc I have a new vet and the current size he is using seems very large? Any info would be greatly appricated!!

Thanks

My vet uses a tube for sheep, smaller than the usual horse size ones.

I think REO is pretty accurate with the size....... We've had vets use anywhere between the 1/4 inch tubing or perhaps even slightly smaller? It tends to be about the same size one uses with a Saline Bag when flushing a mare.

we have always used a stallion cathetor - had a friend though that vet used a big horse regular tubing -more rigid - think she said lg. horse foal size - said about half an inch or so - and that he used it so could get more reflux fast - didn't sound right to me
