Those that have felted crocheted wool before

How much does it SHRINK? Is there any stretch to it after it is felted?

Hi there, I was doing some browsing and found this. I am a knitter and crocheter, and have done felting. Crochet felts different than knit fabric, not bad, just different. And things that are felted usually don't have much stretch to them, some give yes, but not stretch. Because the fibers have interlocked and shrunken together it creates something pretty dense. I've found that when I felt something I've crocheted that I have to work with a really loose stitch to allow for the shrinkage. Hope I've helped!
