Hi everyone,

I just have one more question for you all and that is how does everyone get those very fluffy and white tails on your horses. I have braided my horses tails but that doesnt help very much. Also what do you put in your horses mane and tails at shows to make them shiny?

Any suggestions would be great!

To get them good and fluffy looking the best thing to do is to pick them by hand. Combs break or damage the hairs where your fingers just separate them from each other. Having the hairs separated gives body. Grand Champion Pepi spray gives them that glistening shine right before you go in the ring.

This is what I do.

After a bath I spray the tail with Laser Sheen and bag it or let it dry naturally. I have to bag my mare's because she has some nasty habits. The morning of the show I spray the tail with Show Sheen and comb through the hair. Finally, when at the show, I brush upwards gently on the tail to make it "poof" outwards.
