last year one of our horses shead out almost all her hair in what seemed like two to three weeks and the other was still sheading a month and a half later. I think the last patch of hair finally came off in late june. this year is there anything I can do to help her shead all at once? I know its the first week on Feb but Id like to be prepared if I can do anything to help. last year I had the vet look at her to make shure she didnt have any health issues, and she was fine. Any ideas? Thanks DR.

Good healthy nutrition and lots of brushing, unless you want to body clip in the spring and be done with it in one day.

IMO it depends on the age and color of the horse. yearlings and 2YO's IMO take longer to shed out. I find that my gray horses shed out later also.
