Hello all!
My friends 20 year old mini had to be put down last week due to a really bad case of sand colic. It was very unfortunate because her Mini was my 6 month olds pasture mate.
However I am very concerned with my mini having the same. We have begun to use a hay net but he does have a small dirt turn out and attached to the dirt turnout is his grass field he is on daily.
Is he too young to use sand clear? This is my first mini - do you still feed his regular feed while feeding sand clear?
I plan on asking our vet too just wanted some opinions/advice.
Thank you!!
