So sorry for the loss of your foal. Glad to hear the mare is doing well.

By any chance were the 2 mares that lost their foals on fescue grass in the pasture they were in?

Robin,

I dont think there was any fescue in their fields, but not sure though,

she was on a dry lot at my house, and i have others on the same hay,

its a pretty good hay, i have fed it to them for the last 2 years from

the same farm, i didn`t have any trouble with my mares this past spring

when they foaled out.
