Registration Question

Someone remind me the rules. I bought a mare with foal on the side. They are both AMHA/AMHR. I have the transfer form for the mare and registeration form for the foal. Do I still need the transfer form for the foal too or is just the registration form enough? Mare was not owned by me when she had the baby. I also for the stallion service certificate for the foal.

I am not thinking too sharp tonite.

Since you were not the owner of the mare when she foaled (depends on the EFFECTIVE DATE -- not the date you took possession) the foal will need to be registered with the former owner and then a transfer. So besides the stallion service certificate, you will need transfer forms for both orgs.
