Palpated Mare

Hi, I had a mare palpated yesterday, they said the baby is already in the birth canal,

My question is how long will a foal stay there? And could it go back out of the canal to

foal out at a later time? Thanks, for any information....

Once a foal is in the birth canal, I believe it's a done deal..........You should be having a baby any time.

Thanks, I have been watching her, but nothing as of yet. I sure hope she

foals soon, this is my first foal from my stallion Six Gems American Overo Banner.

I can`t wait to see what kind of babies he will throw out. I have two mares bred

to him this year.
