Look up limb perfusion. This does not sound like a simple laminitis treatment, but rather something drastic and exceptional.
Marsha I would encourage you to read more on their site about how they suggest to proceed with Limb Perfusion(Retrograde Venous Therapy) it does not seem too extensive as other limb perfusions I have read about. I am just thinking of the relief for horses that suffer from this debilitating disease as another option rather than putting them down.
 
Retrograde Venous Therapy isn't necessarily an easy procedure, but also not ridiculously difficult. Many equine Vets should be able to do it. When done as the Manufacturer suggests with sedation and local anesthesia, it shouldn't be too uncomfortable for the patient.

so far you have to catch it in the 48 hour window - but still if it can stop the enzymes from attacking the lamini - that would be terrific!
