Hi All:

Just wanted to let everyone know Missy is doing fine now. The vet gave her

a shot about 8:30 this am and by around 9 she started to reacting to the shot.

The only adverse thing was she was just dripping sweat off of everywhere.. I've

never seen anything like it. The vet stayed with her the 1st hour eye to eye on

the stall floor to watch her. She seemed to have some cramping but not as much as I expected. We kept her hydrated with a water bucket and sponging her down and by hour 2 she was ready to leave!!! She is now at home in Oracle resting with hopefully her forever dwarf Mommy Judy.

I know this was the right decision but it still hurts to make them go thru this.

The alternative would be worse.... There just needs to be more education

concerning these special little ones.

Hugs!!!!

I understand what you are talking about. We had an Arab mare that went through this and the sweat is just tremendous. But since we know that the poor girl would most certainly have major health issues if she foaled, it is the right thing for her.

Give her a hug for me!
