All my horses are chipped including my mini, as well as my dog.
The biggest issue is deciding which chip to use. 132khz, the international standard, and the US breed associations standards, or 125khz, the US small animal/companion animal chip, that animal control can read? I chose 125khz, but that was before 132 became more accessible in the US.
