Hi folks
Just wondering if anyone followed the Meadowwood dispersal?
Just wondering if anyone followed the Meadowwood dispersal?
Those are pretty good prices for unregistered minis. I hope all of the animals went to good homes!
.Hope the KB's were discouraged from bidding in any fashion
I was thinking that too as I saw those prices.tagalong said:Saddest of all were the Arab mares in their 20s of great Polish lines who sold for less than many of the minis - $250? Broke my heart. I hope that some of them were bought by Arab fans who knew them in the past.
Thank God!Equuisize said:I'm hoping they were all purchased by private individuals and went to deserving retirement homes befitting all they gave in their younger years. There were some wonderful old Arabian bloodlines and it did seem that via the Arabian forums, there was a lot of interest in having these old timers from all across the USA.
I was lucky enough to visit the farm a couple weeks ago as I was there for a few days. Beautiful Farm!!!Does anyone know who purchased, Brewers Orion Replica?
Had a client go over - and she ended up with one of the appys. I am SHOCKED at the high prices. Truthfully, there are registered, and well-handled minis selling for LESS than these critters sold for.I was really worried about the old gals but I have heard both of the really old mares sold via online bids. This is great news. And really good prices considering most were being sold without papers... my experience the last handful of years is that it's hard to give a horse away...

I watched online most of the miniature horses sell. I was very pleased with the prices of the horses. Better prices than I am used to seeing @ auctions in our area (central USA)
Replica went to (Cant think of the name)...the transport company that ships overseas that is in TX. Good price for a 16 yr old stallion!
It's so great to hear from someone who has first hand knowledge of one of the horses. How cool that she went to such a great home!A friend of mine that owns Friesians went because she was interested in one of the mini donks and ended up coming home with a DARLING appy mini mare instead. She is black with white dots all over like someone dripped bleach on her, LOL! It is my friend's first mini. She is a driver, and this little gal will not only have a fantastic home, she will learn to drive and maybe compete in local CDE events. I am very happy for both the little mare, and my friend, who I am sure will now be excited about getting more involved with minis.
So was I, to be honest. Most of the older minis were registered at some point - but all paperwork had disappeared. And some of them were only average or below in quality - going for more $$$$ than many registered, papered, and trained minis out there.I am SHOCKED at the high prices.
... were mother and daughter when I saw them in their stalls - I thought that the year they were foaled (on the sign on the stall door) reflected that. But I guess I was wrong - they did have the same look about them.#35 - $1,400 - Mini Horse, 2002 White Mare#36 - $1,600 - Mini Horse, 2002 White Mare
One of those two ^ was a fairly decent silver black pinto...#50 - $425 - Mini Horse, 1999 Bay/White Stallion#51 - $450 - Mini Horse, 2004 Chestnut/White Stallion
