Susanne, thats exactly what i was thinking. A small size choke chain. Its durable light weight. I groom dogs and cats, so i figured they would work perfect. And the "U" style scares me. Looks like it would just pop off at one head toss.

Ikblazin, hi! I came across your thread about making show halters while researching how to make them as I'd like to try my hand at it! Have you had any luck? How did you do it, if so? I'm very interested in making beaded nosebands on an O ring, as I've done a couple of regular horse brow bands and enjoyed it! I'd love any input!
