Highlighter for Driving Horses?

Do you usually close clip/bald the muzzle and eyes and use highlighter on your driving horses? Or do you show them without the "goop"?

I do close clip but don't goop the horses for driving, however you see a lot more of that done for Nationals, not necessarily at the local level.
