I want details girls...how did it go? I was of course still on mare stare (still am, dang it) so I didn't get over to see how it went. Fill me in, I missed being there!!!!

Haven't gotten any of the pics uploaded yet, but we did pretty good!

Kyan even qualified for the Stallion Championship, but of course he got beaten by the older guys that are in training and just more mature overall. He was pretty bored and annoyed with it all by the time he'd waited through three judges' worth of judgeoffs, though.

Lark did ok. She and I are still working out how to get her looking her best in the ring, and setting up. I have not worked her, either, so we could do better, preparation-wise!

Mouse did pretty badly. He didn't even place in most of his classes (Sr. Geldings), so perhaps his halter days are over now that he's old & "Ugly" or whatever. *LOL* He really looks good, though! His coat is nice and dappled/shiny. He's a tad fat, but again, he has not been working, either. Also trying to grow out some mane issues from overtrimming it the past few years.

Kim has some exciting results to share, though I'll let HER do the announcing. ;)

We had a great time, though, and the weather was AWESOME if a bit cold in the mornings.

Will get some pics, soon.

Oh, I got to meet Mininik (envypoodles) finally. She's just as nice and cool in person as she is, here. Cute "escort" she had, too!

*LOL*

We missed seeing you, and wondered how your mare stare was going.

Congratulations on the kids. :aktion033:

Dont give up on Mouse yet. You know how it goes when certain judges just arent looking at that style.

Next show he might be on top!

I was on foal watch too. Had the baby Sat. nite but had been wanting to come watch.

Oh, no, I'm not giving up on Mouse, he's kinda going through a funny stage w/teeth bumps and such, but again, he looks amazing. I really will get those pics up, so you all can see.

Just figuring there are SO MANY beautiful senior geldings in this region, that he may not get much play in the halter arena and we have yet to determine his talents for performance.

He sure gets keyed up going for halter. All is calm and easy til we're in the ring and the only time he settles in, then, is when I'm asking him to show for the judge. O/wise, it's "game on" for him. *LOL* I wish he were more easygoing as I'd love to let Brandon try him out in the Youth classes. I think Kyan will be more suited to Youth, but I don't have the room to hang onto two geldings at this point.

Maybe if they were more adamant about showing, but I think it's sort of a passing fancy at this point.

Wish we could have seen you there, too, but I know how that goes. Glad you got a foal, though....did you post pics/announcement? (Pretty much been scanning the forum lightly, so I might have missed it).

Liz

Well time for you to play with some obstacle and see how he does or jumping. I have an over gelding this year and I know those classes are going to be getting big.

Was there a large turnout? You certainly had good weather.

Yeah, I posted the new boy--he is under the foals page at top of forum.

Hey Valerie!

Hilary did her first class with Falcon in amatuer and liberty. It was a blast to do liberty, he had a great time..

But the big thing this weekend was that Falcon, got his first ever NECK RIBBON Reserve champion AMHA senior stallion!!!! It was awesome and we are still very excited!

Congrats on a new baby CountyRose!

It was a wonderfull weekend and Liz and her crew were great and we had fun.

C'mon Deedee!

Aw, thanks! You all have some very nice horses. Congratulations on a job well done!

Can I look forward to seeing you in Eugene this weekend? We'll be there and are taking 11 this time... :new_shocked:

Way to go Kim!! I'm afraid that ribbon is only one I will dream of but not have!

So are the gas prices keeping away people at the show or did they have a big turn out?

Don't know about gas prices being the reason, but I did hear that attendance was down a good bit at this show. It did "feel" way smaller than usual and I can pretty much guess there was maybe about 30 less horses than usual (a number I overheard, not sure if it's official or not).

Falcon looks great and he deserved that ribbon even if he was feeling a little "Crabby"!

Nik, I don't think we'll get to Eugene, for sure not to show, maybe to watch depending on what else is going on. Just too much to coordinate all of us to get there while the little ones are so small.

Wow, 11 horses, guess you will be busy yet again! Can't wait to hear the results, Sindy has some really pretty horses that go on the R "over" side that I remember, not sure who she has this year, though.

Congratulations guys! :aktion033: I can't wait to see pictures of the McMaster crew in action.

I thought of you Liz as I passed the sign for Astoria on my way to St. Helens for a model horse show this weekend.

Congrats you guys....wow, way to go Falcon!!! Dang it, and here I sat watching a mare do nothing & cleaning out flower beds while I could have been watching some nice showing....oh well, what can ya do?

Still waiting by the way, I decided to stay home from work today, I honestly thought she would pop last night, per the milk test....hah, not. The pool test strips say that the hardness is all the way up & the ph is headed down, so I guess it's just a waiting game now......unreal. I really really hope this goes well & then I can get some much needed rest.

I am sooooo happy for you guys...gosh Liz your horses did great & Hilary should be showing my mare Mercedes...haha....I am quite sure Mercedes would do much better for her than she does for me.

Ok, gotta go....talk to you guys soon...hopefully with a baby announcement!! :aktion033:
