Well we certainly had to wait for this one. Again over 340 days to foal (343, but who'd counting).

I have to say he was Worth the wait!

Here he is Pacific Pizzazz.

I have to say these markings are amazing. His dam is a calico pattern from the Van Los line. This colt had his grand dams calico trait.

Holy Moly, he is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I agree, well worth the wait! Congratulations!!!!!!!

He's so cute! Congrats on a healthy foal!

I have never heard the term "calico" before... what color pattern is that slang for?

In cats, calico is a sex-linked pattern for two different color patterns on white... do they have brown and black spots? Is it a sex-linked color?

This is his grand dam, Van Los Angel in Calico, who is a frame sabino overo pinto. The jagged markings on her are the "calico" markings, caused by one of the the sabino genes.

We have sent in his DNA and should have results this next week.

I am curious if her is frame or splashed white in addition to the tobiano gene.
