Height Question?

[SIZE=12pt]Do miniature donkeys mature as far as height like the mini horses? As a rule do they grow more the first year and level off? [/SIZE]

Hi there....I am new here & I am so excited I know this one :aktion033: I have been breeding mini donks since 2001 and I was told by reputable breeder......Julie form "Copperas Creek Farm" that you add 10 inches to the new born height. Just an example when TJ (tiny jack) was born....he was so tiny...he almost looked like a premie..LOL! He was 19 inches (at shoulder) and today at almost 3 yrs old he is 29 inches. The theory has worked for me (adding the 10 inches) I believe that this is for mini donks only. I don't really know about mini horses.

The ADMS registry has you "permenantly" register at 3 like AMHR. I think they figure by then they stop growing.
