At what age is it safe to put a very dominate personality colt

with a full size (playful) gelding?

Will an adult gelding help teach manners?

When I worked on the (large horse!) breeding farms, we had an older boss gelding who was turned out with the colts after they were weaned. Boss gelding taught the colts their pasture manners. It worked out really, really well!

I think we weaned at 6mos, so they were TO'd with boss gelding immediately after.
