I was wondering a few things about gelding.
If you attended 13 shows a year and 10 of those were "Geldings-All Ages" and you had a fairly competetive colt that would be a yearling you would intend to geld. Would you geld him and show as a yearling gelding(Who has to go with 2 yrs old and senior geldings)? Or just compete with the yearling colts and geld after the season?
I dont know that its fair to show a yearling gelding against seniors some judges dont take into thought that the horse is a yearling..
Also gelding him young is that going to take away any spunk he is actually starting to get? I think he's going to be a deadhead gelding
Hes a real sweetheart with attitude.
Also him being a yearling to senior gelding is it going to be harder to keep him show ring fit?
How the heck do you bring yourself to geld a colt that went Res. Champion against senior stallion as a weanling
OH! I know he will be much better/competetive as a gelding
I can't bring myself to geld him but that has been the plan ; Its hard because I cant go back and I like him !!
I need gelding advice/support Im so undecided lol
I was thinking to geld as a coming 2 yr old? But want advice on if I should go with yearling.
This is the little brat
