She is still a bit nervous but such a sweetheart. She arrived in great shape.

Thank you to Stephanie for taking good care of our gal.

Christy has been fantastic to deal with inspite of having her hands so full

with their dispersal sale.

She got here right before I had to leave for work this morning , but at least I got to see her before work. Art is retired so he was here today to keep an eye on her. It was a long day at work waiting to spend some time with her.

We are so excited to add this beautiful mare to our breeding program

She is gorgeous, congrats!

Thanks everyone for sharing our excitement

I'm quickly becoming a big dilute fan myself

I'll get new pics in her winter woolies this weekend

I don't get alot of time with light before or after work during the week

A beauty and she looks like she will fit right into your breeding program.

I tried to get Steph to leave her on the trailer when she headed my way but alas no luck. Congratulations on your beautiful mare. She's gorgeous!

Our girl is starting to settle in some

I know she misses her herd though (sensitive little sweetie)

she is not with the other mares yet,but she is where they can visit her on one side and our geldings can visit on the other side

I do wish she was more anxious to eat

she's getting the same as she was where she came from but it's funny she doesn't even bother with the grain when you give it to her when she comes in the stall

last night she did eventually eat it before morning

same thing tonight hope she rats it by tomorrow am

Gave her some probias paste in case

Anyone have this with a new horse settling in ?

she is real sweet and seems ok as long as she sees other horses right now.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Nothing more fun than buying a new horse!

I frequently have new horses come in that don't eat well initially. Even when on the same feed as before. They are nervous about relocating and it takes some time for them to adjust. I generally offer them a variety of hays and feed products to get them eating something. If they are not eating well at all, I do start them on ulcer meds just to be on the safe side.
