My hubby built some great stuff for my horses, he is such a sweetie.

A scratching post because they keep using the fence and a shade tunnel. The downside to living in a new development is no mature trees. They can get shade in the barn but this is cooler and more air movement.

Looks great!

what's the actual name of the type of wire fence you've used for the shade tunnel,

we've got the same issue, with one of our minis uprooting shrubs, scratching herself.

It's a cattle panel. Some call them hog panels. But they make a shorter version that is an actual hog panel.

I have yet to see the stinkers use their scratching post. I saw some hair on it so someone used it. They are so lazy, they rub on the fence next to them or my new barn door.

I was going to ask how you trained them to use your "scratching post". You just answered my questions, though!
