Do eggs freeze?

I go out several times a day to check for eggs, but was wondering if eggs freeze and if so how do you tell without breaking them open?

Thanks

Lee

If they freeze they will crack open. It happens to me all the time. Soon the hens will stop laying, unless you keep a light on for them for 14 hours of the day.

Thank you so much. These are my first chickens so wasn't sure.

I hope they stop soon, I'm running out of people to give them to.

Some times you can't help it if it gets VERY cold, here it would get so cold that the heat from my hand would snap them. Keeping my gloves on helps.....
