Hey guys! I think I asked this before but can't remember what you said..

I've been wanting to find a way to build up some muscle on two of my geldings, in the chest and shoulder area. What do you guys do?

Just wanted to make them look better for our next show! Good news though, Sox and I got first in our halter class and hunter last weekend at our show! Just thought I'd share :)

Look forward to your replies!

Do you have a treadmill? If so, that works pretty well. Otherwise, round pen, running behind a golf cart or something similar. Congrats on your last show.

I work all my halter horses in a sand round pen. Just watch their legs for wind puffing.

I do a lot of hand walking about 3-4 times per week, usually up hills. Because i get exercise too! Plus by hand walking, it can be a good time to get your horse leading properly. But you have to be motivated!

I work for a thoroughbred yearling prep. stud and we do A LOT of hand walking!!!! ...lucky me :\
