Rock pioneer dies at age 79

He will be missed. I was lucky to have seen him on stage about 15 years ago. It brings a smile to my face remembering him dancing and singing. He was sooo good.

My mom saw him last year at the Hollywood Bowl, I think. She said it was a wonderful performance; he was such a fantastic talent. However, he seemed to be having a hard time getting through the gig; tired, out of breath, clearly struggling. She said when he played the guitar and sang, he seemed to go into his own beautiful world...I'm sure that's where he is now...
