I have a bookshelf that is starting to bow from the weight of my books. Has anyone ever had a shelf, table, etc, break from too many books being stacked on top?

It's one of those cheap wooden bookshelves from Walmart. I love their size, but the shelves buckle under weight. I don't think it's full enough where it will break, but I know not to pile anymore on it. Lol

I guess it isn't the kind that you can take the shelf out and reverse it? I've done that on shelves before. Can you turn the whole bookcase upside down? Weird idea, but it's a thought...

I try to put the heavier tomes on the edges of wide shelves.

It's 8 feet tall, and 'custom made' or I would definately turn it upside down. I guess I'll just have to stop piling books on that shelf. Lol
