5-way's

When the vet was out to give Kya her vaccinations she said that Kya would need another 5-way in 4-5 weeks. Is this correct??? I have never heard of that before. I thought they only needed one 5-way each year.

Once a horse has been fully vaccinated (had initial shot and then a booster), then it's just once a year. I think with Kya, the vet may have been concerned if she had initially been fully vaccinted before you got her so is being safe vs. sorry is my hunch

Also, though, in warmer climates when the bugs bite close to year round, some people feel it's not a bad idea to do it 2x a year (but at different seasons).
