4 Minis stolen in Nuevo, SoCal! 2 are pregnant mares!

From COTH (big horse) Forums.

1 mini donkey jenny light sorrel (almost like a pink)

1 mini horse mare sorrel and white pinto

1 mini horse gelding brown

1 mini horse stallion sorrel and white pinto

The mare and jenny are both in foal and due within the next 30-45 days.

They were taken last night. Tuesday (3/9) night, Wednesday (3/10) morning.

I have a question,it seems as though there are alot more stolen horses,what are the thieves doing with them? Are they selling them,keeping them or what? I can't imagine what a nightmare this would be,hoping for a happy ending.

I believe the minis and donkey have been found and returned to their owner.

They were headed to Mexico apparently. But yes, they are reunited with their family.

what do people do when a horse is stolen, besides calling the police? how do they get recovered so quickly? Do they call local vets , is there a horse "amber" alert? do you call all borders and notify them? What are some things we should have on hand imediatly for this type of thing?
