    Bloated?

Oh, I had a topic on here a few days ago about what was the reccomended feed amount for a year old filly and I said she has free-choice coastal all day, and she get a pound of SafeChoice a day. And someone mentioned SafeChoice might not be the best for her, that is was more of a maintainance...

    Bloated?

Thank you! I chose Equine Senior because when I went to the local feedstore to get Junior they were out, but said Senior should be the closest equivalent. And I saw on here that someone said they feed their yearlings Junior or Senior so I figured it would be ok for now. Better than SafeChoice...

I was thinking my little Cinnamon was getting alittle chunky lately but from looking through topics on here I am now thinking she is bloated not chunky. Here are recent pics from just two days ago- Now I just feel horrible. After finding out SafeChoice isn't ideal for the growing...

If they are talking about sending you a check and having a shipper come pick the horse up, then it is a scammer. Those come around alot.

    I really hate

We have a neighbor that is reliable that always takes care of ours when we go out of town, which is really nice because in the summer we are usually gone every other weekend. But we just try and make it as simple as possible, a scoop with electrolytes for the QH and Paint, and up the the line...

    Feeding a Yearling

My little filly Cinnamon is getting on the chunky side, mostly because she was tipping the big horses buckets and getting what drops, but we have fixed it so she can't do that anymore. She has free choice coastal out in the pasture that she can munch on whenever, and I have been giving her a...

    Color help. . .

This is Heavens lil Piece of Sweet Stuff, or Cinnamon. She is going to be 12 months in July, but what I was wondering is if yall think she is turning gray? Her darn is a gray, and her father is a bay, so I know it is possible. darn- Sire- Close up pics of where it looks like she is...

    Can you have just one?

Some horses (generally the older ones) are content by themselves. But it is pretty rare. My mini isn't in the same pen as other horses but her pen is in the middle of a pasture that houses my two full sized geldings and she is just fine. But she will freak if we take the other two on a trail...

    feeding minis

I have a 5 month old filly and she gets a cup of SafeChoice, a cup of oats and a little bit of calf manna twice a day. With all of the alfalfa she wants, but she only goes through about a flake every couple days.

    That pesky "gray" gene.

After reading alot of these post it started making me think of my filly. She is a really red sorrel right now, but it looks like she has a gray undercoat. And her mother is gray. So do you think she is probably going to shed out gray this spring?

WHY BREED MORE AND MORE HORSES

There isn't a big issue with horses being shipped to slaughter after the law passed but I don't think horses that are not regestered should be bred. Maybe a law making you have a lisence to breed would help, like they have for exotics. But people arn't just going to stop breeding. But slaughter...

    Exercise for the young Minis?

First of all, I don't just leave her out there. I go out there with a lung whip and supervise. If I tell one of my geldings to stop, they stop. My biggest gelding acts like her mother also, won't let my paint near her, and he won't let her walk more than 5ft away from him. She is currently in a...

    Exercise for the young Minis?

I have a mini 4 month old filly that lives in a pen by herself right now, and I don't think she is getting enough exercise. I let her out with my two full sized geldings (QH and Paint) for about a half hour twice a week and they will play alittle bit. What should I do with her?

    Verizon Christmas Commercial

I looked it up on youtube, I don't think it is that big of a problem. If you are interesting in purchasing a mini then I highly doubt that this will be throwing you off. And if they base all of their knowledge off of a phone commercial then they probably shouldn't have one anyways. The only...
