    Mare with strange legs/hooves

Poor girl I'm with Peggy and think that the bumps have originated from lack of farrier care. This lack of farrier care has undoubtedly caused secondary problems in which I agree with Marty and xrays are in order. Just by looking at her hooves, you can see the angles are a long way from where...

How to measure for a Harness ???

Thanks, Leia. I didn't think the breeching looked attached and I thought the shafts were a bit high. Now, I read somewhere else that the shafts should actually be SLIGHTLY uphill. (lower at cart and higher as they go to the horse) How do you feel on this?

Ten reasons you know you are selling the wrong horse

I had a big horse several years ago that I sold and have wished everyday since that I wouldn't have. I got that horse back 2 years ago in my mini gelding - he's staying forever! And the others, they just keep coming into the barn and each is so unique, I just can't imagine life without any of...

    Colt with crypt testicle

We are in southern MN and last fall we had our yearling gelded and it cost $135. We've never had a crypt surgery, but $2400 seems way high.
