    pony drivers

What are the dangers/disadvantages of having shafts too long for a particular pony? What about the width that was mentioned? Just trying to learn more, thanks.

    Yearling Halter Size?

Hi, me again. My colt is now a yearling- although only really 8 months old. I need to buy him a new halter tomorrow- but once I get in to the store my mind goes blank as to what size he is. For those of you who have weaners and yearlings- what size "big horse" halter fits them? I know it won't...

Just saw a mini with a "set" tail in Journal?????

Just wanted to point out- a "Set" tail on a horse- even a 5 gaited horse- is NOT "broken and reset to stand up". The tail is NOT broken. I personally do not like set tails either- but false information and rumors are worse. If you have your facts straight you can always make a more convincing...

Has anyone ever converted there pick-up trucks ?

I'm glad to see this thread- I'd even been thinking of getting a mini just for this purpose! I do not have a truck and trailer, and don't see being able to add one in the next few years. Right now for my Shetlands and big horses I have to hire a hauler. But I do have a little truck with a...

minitack has one- but here's my frustration- 24" and 28". I need a smaller one- maybe I'll have to do a western girth and rig it up somehow- Michelle

    Looking for more stuff!!!

Ok- I bought a nice synthethic child's saddle last year- It came sans stirrups or girth- and I can't find a girth small enough to work. It needs to be English type- their are 2 billets on each side- and I can ALMOST use my 22" dressage girth on it- but honestly I think I need a 16" girth- Any...

    For you ridding pony people,

Wow you mean there might be an ADVANTAGE to my being so short at my advanced age? Oh how tempting- and what a great way to get her broke! Leanna what a nice pony! Can I borrow Crystal? :

    For you ridding pony people,

Just curious- how tall is Crystal? She looks great- and the pony loks very nice! I ask how tall she is because sometimes I'm tempted to ride my mare- but I'm sure I am way too tall even at 5'2- she's 45" also!

    Mane Tamers/Sleezy/Hood

I have to admit I had never noticed the auction before- darn it- now I am in trouble! I saw the ones there- for $15- but they appear to all be Mini size- 36" was the largest size and my mare is at least 44 inches- am I being too picky and would the large size probably still fit her? Michelle
