youtube help

I have created my account on youtube and added a video, however when I sent it to friends and family they cannot view the video, they said it tells them they need an account created. Do you HAVE to create an account with them to view any videos?

First time Youtube user so I am still learning the ropes and would appreciate any assistance. Thanks !

Unless you select PUBLIC, only registered viewers can see the video. If you choose to select PUBLIC, be sure your video is named something that is wierd, so it will not come up easily. The first time we did youtube, we just used the camera number--whew! Lots of people obviously did that!

If you prefer any John Doe on the www NOT to view your video, your select viewers will have to register.

If you want to share it with, say, this miniature horse forum, you will have to select PUBLIC.
