I have noticed that my little herd sometimes gets wierd when one of them is clipped & bathed and then returned. They all run over with necks arched like it's a totally new horse.
Running a stallion together with mares and geldings is just what someone said- a recipe for disaster. I would never think of doing that- especially in the spring. The stallion only knows there are other male horses in his herd and nature tells him to get rid of them. I just consider you extremely lucky that you did this before with no serious problems or a fatality.
