I thought it would be neat to hear what songs make you all turn up the stereo? I don't really mean your favorite of all songs, but your favorite ones to listen to loud. The ones you do not even want to listen to if they're not full blast?

Here are mine, of course pretty eclictic and no doubt, my musical maturity stopped around age 16:

  • Burning Down The House -- Talking Heads
  • Walk This Way -- Aerosmith (and I'm not an Aerosmith fan at all)
  • Battleflag -- Low Fidelity Allstars
  • Trippin On a Hole In A Paper Heart -- Stone Temple Pilots
  • Your Woman -- White Town
  • (once in awhile if H is with me) Linda Ronstadt's Greatest hits -- H loves it when I belt those songs out for him (not, but I have a blast!)
  • Almost anything by Nirvana, Sublime, Beastie Boys (except Fight for Your Right...), Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Pearl Jam and if I'm pretty sure no one else will hear, 1980's Duran Duran
How about you? What makes you turn up the volume?

OLDIES of course, anything from the Temptations, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Frankie Valley and the four Seasons, Jay and The Americans, I could go on and on.......I'm the youngest of four, my older brother and Sister are in their 50s so I grew up hearing all this GOOD music....... Kathy

All classic rock, but especially any Aerosmith, Led Zepplin. I remember one of my friends kids actually complained about how loud I played my radio. Sounded just like my parents did!

You Light Up My Life

Cryin

Oh Holy Night (sung by John Denver)

The Eagles

Alice Cooper

All Oldies are my faves.

Just about any of the classic, 70s-era rock needs to be at high volume once in a while!

Pink Floyd, Led Zep, that kinda stuff.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy

NIN-"Burn", Perfect Drug, Only, Hand that Feeds, Survivalism, Down In It, Into the Void, there's probably way too many of these to list. Not ALL NIN songs need high volume, just some of them really take over.

Goldfrapp - Strict Machine

The Brothers Johnson - Strawberry Letter 23

Hey You - The Scorpions

Couldn't Stand The Weather - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Forever Man, Layla - Eric Clapton

Roadhouse Blues - The Doors

Touch It - Monifah

Blue Orchid - The White Stripes

DOA - The Foo Fighters

I could be listing them forever. I have a lot of Project Playlist playlists that I make people listen to when they visit my myspace page (I find myself listening to it like a jukebox, too!)

Love reading everyone's guilty pleasures. Jill, your 1980s Duran Duran had me grinning. I don't even care if anyone hears me....I'll listen to Girls on Film!

Liz

My Chemical Romance, Bullet For My Valentine, System Of A Down, Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, Nirvana, The Fray, Misfits.

Yeah if one of my fav artists comes on and I'm in a car with people, I yell EVERYONE SHUT UP, and crank the volume.
