Is this your second foal?

I think she is Sorrel or possibly Silver Bay, but need dry, full body pictures to be sure.

Congratulations, pretty filly.

I think she is silver. I have seen a couple of horses in the past who appeared to be, and were registered as palominos that were actually silver. And how do you breed a silver to a sorrel and get palomino?! I think the chances would be next to zero. I would say silver of some sort- and would have her tested myself to be sure what she is.

Sire is smoky silver, carrying a red gene, so I think the chances are actually pretty good for producing a palomino.

I'm thinking she's palomino too, looks like several palominos we've had born here with pink skin and looking more reddish, then the skin darkened up and the hair lightened up. Pretty baby!

yes RF this is my second filly , she was born last night and you can see more pics on that thread but she is still wet in those pics , jill I think my fillys body colour is very similar to yours ..possibly a little lighter (she is gorgeous by the way !!!)

sire is homozygous for silver , has one cream gene and can produce black and red based horses , so I know the foal will at least carry a silver gene , the shade of the blue eyes makes me think she carries a cream gene just not sure whether black based or red based

it was too cold today to take rugs off for pics but Ill get a couple tomorrow

Thanks for your help so far
