Im just sorting out all the videos I took while at NZ Nationals this year, and decided to pop one up on Youtube just to see how it all worked.
This is my beloved B Gelding Bluegables Color Me Gold (pictured in my avatar), in his Novice obstacle class - shown by our 12 year old youth handler Laura. Her little mare went lame during the driving classes, and as she was just so devastated I let her take the big goofy boy in obstacle and jumping. I should mention this was her first National show and she was a superstar!.
He is very much a novice, as you'll see, but I think they did pretty great for having never worked together in this sort of class! And they managed to pull off a 4th too, so I was proud of the pair of them :aktion033:
