This little guy glided right by me, then ran to my little barn..

My cats hot on his heels... I have my cats locked up for the night..

Hopefully he'll go back to his squirrel house.... Isn't he cute?!

Is that a Sugar Glider??? Are they wild in your area?

Nope that's a flying squirrel. ;) I used to raise gliders for a long time, and a friend had these guys. They are native to North America, and are apparently pretty common. Gliders can't go wild here, we don't really have forrest type ness. for the little things!

Very Very cute little guy, and as always, awesome pic!

Awwwww!!! That's adorable! Great shot too!

The position he's in really reminds me of a photo I took of a racoon who ran into our barn one day:

It's a flying squirrel. I'm not sure what they are actually called.

Yes, they are all around in my area. They like my blue bird boxes.

This was early

in the evening. They usually don't come out until dark.

My barn cats take their job very serious.... I HOPE he is gone by morning

or my cats will find him

Here is a picture from the back. You can see his white belly and the way

his "webbed" sides gather when he's not in air.

He's adorable! My first thought was sugar glider, too, then I realized must be a flying squirrel. Hope the cats dont' get him!

Oh what a cutie! He reminds me of ours, we had 2 as pets, the cats brought them in as babies and unfortunatly got their parents. So we were able to raise them, what amazing little animals!

Great shot you got of your little visitor! We have them

around here in Maine too. But unfortunely the only time

I've ever seen them is when the cats brought them home.

My cats all live inside now. Hope he is alright.

So glad to hear he's native and not someone's pet that got loose. He's adorable and as always, your pics are awesome!
