As mentioned in my other post, Holly and Ivy are 5 and 4 months, respectively. We've had them for two weeks now.
What I don't think I mentioned, is that we met them at our county fair bc their farm had them there as a petting zoo. Upon inquiries, we found out they were for sale, and the rest is history.
I don't know if it comes from being so socialized at the fair, or how much they were handled, but they don't bat at eye at: any new people, , small children, chickens, vehicles, barking dogs, big horses, shovels, rakes, buckets (they get right in the middle of us when we are cleaning, wanting to be pet), cameras, flashes, lawn mowers. Today we had them in the yard and someone out in the woods shot a gun. The dogs jumped, the big horses jumped, WE jumped...and the girls hardly batted an eye.
Future cart horses, perhaps?
