Snopes says it was a flag and it is true.

Bassett - as I said in my esrlier post - ciomplete with the photos from snopes... yes - the flag on the tail was painted out as it was a TRADEMARK of the airline that the plane was chartered from.... and thus once it was his official plane you CANNOT use such a trademark.

And when the plane was repainted, the American flag was put back on next to the serial numbers on bith sides - as the one photo showed you.

Just as it is on McCain's plane.

There truly is no issue here. Not just my opinion - but the facts as borne out by snopes etc.

And using one's logo or font or catch phrases (such as Straight Talk Express) on campaign accoutrements is perfectly normal. It is a campaign identity. All candidates do it. Planes. Buses. Letterheads. Tshirts. Anything.
