Total sales of 188,200.00 and an average of 3920.00 which is down about 140.00 from last year. 74 horses offered, 48 sold.

Not bad for the economics of today and all that is going on with the stock market etc. now days. I think the sale of the horses did fine, but I like Mare Stare better as I like the chat etc. Which is what we are using at the Show Prospect sale in November.

Thanks for posting - before I copy prices down, did you start with horse A or the actual # 1 horse?

I missed the A horse whatever it was. i was waiting on a bidders number and password. LOL

The sale was great--buyers market for sure. Some wonderful horses are going overseas!! I had to sit on my hands a couple of times, but had no problem incouraging Jan to bid on and WIN a Rhotens Little Dandy homozygous black and white 12 year old DAUGHTER for $5500!! In foal!!

That was a nice mare, I started to bid on her, like we need anymore horses.

There was another steal in that Richter Apache's daugter that PO'ed for 2400.00. They dropped the gavel before I could get hold of Cindy to have her bid on her. She was 15, but the RC daughters are hard to find and make wonderful brood mares.

I bid on that mare also, but had to drop out at 4500... That is a gorgeous mare and you are SO LUCKY!!!! She is the one I waited all night for, I had photos of her up all over my computer. I knew all us performance peeps were sitting on our hands until she came out!

CONGRATULATIONS...I am sure you didn't sleep at all last night from all of the pinching yourself!

What does PO mean?

I'm glad that the ones I really liked were out of my price range... I would've been so mad if they weren't, since I didn't get to watch the sale lol! Sheesh one was $36,000! But wiht the PO, and I have no clue what that means...? Does it mean they didn't sell it?

PO - pass out, high bid did not meet the seller's reserve and the horse didn't sell.

I got a Rhoten's Little Dandy daughter last year in foal to Candyland's Best Kept Secreat. I won't tell you what I paid, but I got a heck of a deal! Plus I got a coal black filly!!!!!!!!! They're not going anywhere anytime soon. (But it was less than $5,000)
