I answered #3, feed & daily maintenance. For the average horse, I think it FAR outweighs my 2nd choices of vet costs/showing or promotion.

I picked showing. Why? You have to have a coggins to go out of state, so here comes the vet. The farrier has to trim so they are all nice for the show. You go through clipper blade after clipper blade. You pay the fees. You buy the extra fuel. You purchase all of the extra needed grooming supplies. It goes on and on.
