I have looks and can't seem to find out if there is a fee for transferring the ownership of a horse. I should have done this by now since I have had my horses for a year now, but I am just getting around to it. I have them ready to go, but need to know if I need to enclose a check. They are both registered AMHR an AMHA.

AMHR is $15 within 6 months and I think $25 for over 6 months. The prices are on the custom work order which can be downloaded from the AMHR website in the forms section. http://www.shetlandminiature.com

The AMHA fees are:

Ownership transfer within 6 months 15 Dollars for members and 30 Dollars for non-members. After 6 months it is 25 Dollars for members and 50 Dollars for non-members. For geldings, the ownership transfer is generally 10 Dollars for members and 20 Dollars for non-members.

See the AMHA work order form http://www.amha.org/pdf/gap/WorkOrderFeeSchedule.pdf

The AMHR fees are:

Within 6 months 15 Dollars, after 6 months 25 Dollars and you have to be a member.

See the AMHR work order form http://www.shetlandminiature.com/downloads...erworkorder.pdf

Hope that helps!

Carina

For AMHA members transfer is $15 within six months and $25 after six months. It is double that price for non members.
