Adding Kenny and her family to my prayer list. I will keep Kay on for as long as she needs.

gosh how do you say thank you yet again?? you guys really are the best there is. I did have a low day yesterday and kinda layed around wallowing in self pity. But thats enough of that!! I am so thankful that kenny is okay and no one else was hurt. I got on my knees the night of the wreck and gave thanks that he wasnt hurt.

I want to say to our younger kids and younger adults on here. Kenny looked down to switch the cd in the cd player and that instant was all it took. Luckily the other car wasnt too damaged but my car im sure is totalled. Mine is a grandprix so when it hit the back of the truck it went up under the truck. Ill have to take pics of the car. Unbelieveable there could be that much damage from rearending someone at 30 mph.

The whole event was so stressful. Seems even a wreck cant go right. I was in the ambulance with my son headed to the hospital and the policeman called me on my cell phone. he said my tags came back to another person and car and was really upset. I kept telling him that he was putting in the wrong number because I had never heard of that person. He then accused me of switching tags. I kept tellign him I didnt!!! Well then he got really mad and started yelling at me that THIS IS SERIOUS MRS BAXTER etc etc. At that point i thought they were going to arrest me at the hospital. I told the policeman there was nothing i could do since i was in an ambulance with my son. I called my husband who was on his way to the hospital and told him to go to the car instead because something was wrong with the tags. Hubby goes and when he pulls up the policeman says "nevermind we got it corrected" geesh scared the daylights out of me.

Anyway it was just a lot to take in in just 5 days. Felt a little shell shocked. But I am up and at it again. Honestly after reading some of the other posts i feel really guilty for even feeling sorry for myself for one day. Other people are dealing with much bigger things then i am and my heart goes out to them. I know I still have a ton of things to be thankful for. And this forum is one of them

First off, I am SO glad your son is OK.

I am reminded of this little story:

THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guestroom. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,

"Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, he accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way we think they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later...

Kay, I am glad your son is OK...you certainly do not need yet another thing to happen....sheesh!! Thinking good thoughts for you and your family!!
