WE HAD A GOOD NATIONALS, BUT MISSED OUR FIRST CLASS ON SUNDAY AS WHEN WE WERE DRIVING TO TULSA FOR THE DAY, OUR FRIEND TOLD US THEY ANNOUCED A 30 MI. BREAK BEFORE OUR CLASS SO WE STOPPED FOR ICE ETC. AND THEN THEY CANCELLED THE BREAK WITHOUT ANNOUNCING IT. SO THEY WERE SHOWING OUR CLASS WHEN WE ARRIVED.----------------------------------

SUN EVEING - GELDING INCENTIVE CLASS WE PLACED 3RD WITH ROCKING M BLUES BIT OF JAZZ RIGHT BEHIND RESERVE CHAMPION ROCKING JM BRUCE ALMIGHTY.------------MONDAY, WE PLACED 9TH OUT OF 72 ENTRIES IN THE WEANLING COLT FUT. A WEIRD THING HAPPENED IN THIS CLASS, THEY ONLY ANNOUNCED THE CHAMPION AND RESERVE WHEN WE WERE IN THE RING, AND THEN FINALLY LATER ON IN THE EVEING THEY ONLY ANNOUNCED THE "NUMBERS" OF THE OTHER TOP TEN WINNERS, SURE MADE A FEW PEOPLE UPSET THAT THEY WEREN'T RECOGINIZED IN THE RING. OR BY THE HORSES NAME LATER ON WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED THE NUMBERS.

Congratualtions on your placements. Sorry to hear you missed out on a class and proper acknowledgement from the weird announcing.

Well shoot--I just emailed you--guess this means you won't be there when we come back on Thurs?

Lots of poorly managed things this year at Nationals--they knew the number of entries in the classes but are wholly unprepared. Youth was a nightmare at times--I know some great kids who missed classes after waiting for hours because they would announce one thing and then change it at the last minute (and then tell us we "misunderstood"). Overall I was happy with the judging--except I'd love to go to Nationals some day and find that all 3 judges know how to score Showmanship.

Sorry. I digress. Bruce was gorgeous--I saw him but missed you guys

. Wish both of us had been able to stay for the whole show!

Congratulations on your placings--I so admire your breeding program. The proof is in the placings!!
